BIG - Nutrition
March is National Nutrition Month! National Nutrition Month is an annual campaign created by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics to encourage informed food choices and healthy eating habits. For individuals with spinal cord injury (SCI), nutrition plays a particularly important role in supporting overall health, energy levels, immune function, and long-term wellness to encourage informed food choices and healthy eating habits. During National Nutrition Month, it’s a great opportunity to reflect on how nourishing your body can support independence, strength, and quality of life after SCI as you prepare to get back in the game.
MARCH HIGHLIGHT
The Back in the Game Social at Explorium Distillery on March 1st was a tremendous success, bringing people together for an afternoon filled with energy, laughter, and connection. BIG members enjoyed great conversations, shared experiences, and plenty of fun. It was a fantastic reminder of how powerful it can be when community and good times come together in one space.
